I love thier song love liberty disco! since i was a little girl, i loved the way it’s sounded. Now me and me friends sing together the newsboys frequently. i love the way that every song sounds good so you start listening to it a lot, and then you realize what it’s about and in that way, they lead people to christ.
<3 u my bothers and sisters in christ!
have you ever heard their song Take me To Your Leader?
Have you really listened to the song? If I told you that somebody love you would you say hey show me that face? If I said there is a family a body that moves as one…….
alot of newsboys songs are really deep and not black and white like a lot of other Christian musicians. deep, but with humor. Hence Breakfast….are you familiar with all newsboys songs since the get go?
Ya know, just because they’re Christian, not every song has to be a praise song. Can’t Christians have fun too? Can’t they celebrate their freedom? That’s what this song represents to me.
i understand perfectly i don’t want you to think im not a christian i am god has done so much for me im not going to criicise you because your absolutely right
Well you see, this is a Christian band, but who says ALL they’re songs have to be about God.? God wants us to have love for each other, God wants us to have liberty to praise him without caring what other people say. What a disco has to do with this is probably the fact that we should all have liberty to praise him like everyone has liberty to dance in a disco. Get it? Soryy if you don’t.
I think you could take the song as a metaphor for what it might possibly be like to love and be loved by God perfectly, “on that day” when “we will all be happy people” – ie, when Jesus comes back, possibly. I always think this song is almost embarrassingly simplistic when I hear it, but that very simplicity is a legitimate aspect of a perfect relationship with a Creator who made us to be perfectly happy when we are obeying Him perfectly. And perfect happiness can get kind of crazy sometimes
what does love liberty disco haft to do with loving god i mean no offense and i don’t want to sound hippicritical but they don’t mention god once in the song so whats the song about
I remember this like it was yesterday…the times spent at youth group when me and my friends were being silly and doing disco moves to this song. My brothers listened to Newsboys when they were growing up and I thank them for it, I love this band!
wait…his name is Peter Furler…my bad. haha.
haha!! I love this! I love the Newsboys, but I had never heard this one. Wow, they are great. I miss Peter Fuller, but Michael Tate is pretty awesome.
EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not a christian anymore, but the newsboys were one of the few bands that actually knew how to pump some variety in their songs.
nowadays, all their songs sound just the same, just like all the other ones. sad.
it’s shame the way some christian places and churches think though, they actually ban them
wow like Beatmasta92 said boy does this bring back memories such a good song but / Something Beautiful / is probably still my favorite
Hey one of those dancers had a halo…cool.
Oh boy, does this bring back memories.
