Im glad that if they truly needed to make a change in the core members, they would chose someone who is going to be able to continue to bring the mesage of the lords love and compassion… there are very few male artist who can do that in their vocals. True the new line-up feels strange, but it also felt strange when Phil Joel (entertaining angels) left the band. Besides, Peter hasn’t left the band, he’s just stepped back to take some time for him and his family, and to center back on the lord.

That’s funny, because I thought they lost a lot after John James (the original lead singer) left the band and I thought Peter was just “not bad”… Until their disco album, but that’s a whole different story. LOL
I guess this just goes to show that once you get used to a group, any change in the core members feels strange.
I think that whoever Michael Tait sings with, it will be AWESOME! He is so talented and bring so much experience with him. Excellent pick, Newsboys!

Tait was the worst thing that happened to the newsboys. He sounds good here because his voise is edited. I have been 7 newsboys concerts, one with Tait. Tait made it sound like newsboys karaoke. In other words it was horrible. Peter needs to come back.
I went to winter jam a few days ago in Tulsa Oklahoma and I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about tait singer for the newsboys, but wow did tait and them bring down the house. They rock out and everyone had a a blast. Having seen them perform in concert I’d have to say that they made the right move. Cuz I’d definitely go see them in concert again.
Honestly, I think that while Peter Furler is awesome, bringing Tait in only goes to show that newsboys isn’t just about the people, it’s about the music and the message. Either way, newsboys are newsboys, and I’ll happily keep listening
I love the change. It’s as if DC Talk and the Newsboys merged together. I wouldn’t buy this song if Tait wasn’t singing!

I’m sure that the Newsboys made the decision of bringing Tait in as the lead singer prayerfully. Therefore, we have to trust that God helped make this decision with them. Also, and for this I am sure, they did make the decision and the decision was made. None of our attempts at voicing our opinions will truly change that.

hey cowboyelijiah are you kidding me? Tait ruined the band,peter was the NEWSBOYS. original,the first. Tait is a cocky fame junky whos just in it for the money since his other band sucks. and im not talking about DC talk. ive followed the newsboys and dc talk since they began and no one could ever replace peter. im sorry if that came off the wrong way, but thats complete bogus.

i saw the Newsboys and Third Day at WinterJam in Greensboro, NC on Saturday. it felt amazing to be among so many Christians praising the one true God.
Tait has a wonderful voice. Yes, this is a change for the fans, but it’s OK. Tait and the band will make some awesome music together for God’s glory! That’s what counts…

hey, i’de be realy bummed if jovi left bon jovi, or bonno or the edge left u2. but they would have to make the choice of what to do next.just like they had to do with “james”. that was sort of strange for a while too. i think they have made a great choice with tait as there singer, maybe we just have to get used to seeing him on stage as a newsboy for now and just enjoy the great tunes. what a voice, and best of luck to the band.
