Baby became a fat nickel so fast
Then came puberty
Exponentially
Soon our boy became a million
People loved him so
And helped him to grow
Everyone knew the thing that was best
Of course, he must invest
A penny won’t do
But he made us proud
He made us rich
But how were we to know
He’s counterfeit
Now everything’s ruined
Things worked out better than we had planned Capital from boy, woman and man
We were like ink and paper
Numbers on a calculator
Knew arithmetic so well
Working overtime completed what was assigned
We had to multiply ourselves
A bouncing little baby
A shiny copper penny
And he spent himself
Would not listen to us
But when he lost his appetite
He lost his weight in friends
Influencing a band does not mean that the said band will actually be good. Even those fags in Sum 41 claim to be influenced by Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. It’s like, if I were influenced by OJ Simpson, it doesn’t mean that I’d be a good running back or go on to kill my wife.
I still don’t see how the hell they inspired the horrible nu metal bands. FNM is not even RAP metal. They are much more than that. The real thing had a few of those influences but that was it. Epic was probably the only rap metal only song they did. It’s a great song but is far far from what Faith no more is really made of. Angel dust is still my favorite and a damn masterpiece. King for a day is even more intense though.
Lets put it this way… there’s prob still a handful of genres of rock and metal that have yet to be discovered, that we’ll be created or stumbled upon, in the next few decades… and I can guarantee whatever that new music sounds like, these guys prob did it already
the vid is funny and cool too, I love everything about FNM… I first heard epic when I was 9 years old and have been a fan since… I know they are on a reunion tour, but man… I sure hope that turns into a new FNM record.
nu-metal?????? errr…….. my fiend u need to educate urself in faith no more they are old school. im guessing ur a youngster and these guys were a major influence on korn and many others.
What’s this song about?
