This is the first Newsboys song I ever heard, waaaay back in 1993 – still love it! This CD stays in my car and I listen to it regularly – brings back lots of good memories. Favorite track from this album is “Strong Love” – powerful song. Anyone else agree?
Yep. Like i said MOST of it doesn’t even begin to compare to secular music. So it looks like we agree. “Stuff you’ve probably never heard of”. While this assumption is very pleasant— I used the word “MOST” b/c i obviously do enjoy some christian acts. We’re having this discussion on a christian music youtube video page. ?
There’s good Christian rock out there. None of the Christian stations will ever play it, though, because the established Christian music industry is not really any better than the secular industry- just as much greed and disingenuous producer-tortured BS. The good stuff is all independent- stuff you’ve probably never heard of. Problem is it’s not marketable to homeschooler moms and the “family friendly” crowd, usually.
Peter did sing lead on this song. He’s shown simultaneously in the video singing at the mic and playing drums. He did that on a few other songs occassionally before becoming the frontman in 1998.
dude i love this song! working on a killer remake of it right now— ‘ i cannot get you out of my nachos’— but seriously— this is one of the coolest songs ever, christian or not. this song is a nice departure from typical horrible christian music.
Evanescence started out as a Christian group. Tony Vincent is now on Broadway. Music is music, a universal language.
They”re both great.

OLD SCHOOL newsboys !!!!!
cowboy the lead singer aint got no hair no more though
Frankly, for musicianship alone, Steven Delopoulos/Burlap to Cashmere blows everything else out of the water, Christian or secular.

well– yeah– if we’re being honest. Most of it doesn’t even begin to compare to secular music.
typical horrible Christian music??!!!
This is Peter singing lead. John did sing most of the tunes back then, but not this one. =)

John James would have been lead singer in 1992, not Peter. Peter was on drums.
I checked out this album and i really like it. Peter was 26yrs old -guy is pure genius.
I dunno for sure who is singing my guess would be Peter. This is 1 of favourite Newsboys song of all time!
OY BOY! This song rocks…anybody know if this is Pete or John singing?
Can’t wait to hear that remake!
