They will explain what is and what is not unclean according to the Jewish Law. This law was in place in the day and time when Jesus walked on the face of the earth. Jesus returned from the other side of the lake. The area of the ten cities, where Jesus cast the demons out of a man and sent the demons into a heard of pigs. We will teach at this on another time.
Jesus has been depicted as a mild mannered guy. One may even envision that he was always walking around with a halo on his head. Jesus is holy but he is very much a man who knew who he was and what he was here to do. The status of Jesus grew with each passing day for many reasons. Some times it was merely because of those who wanted to be seen with him. This group, this mob of groupies followed him around consistently because they wanted to be where he was and be a part of the action.
We have all kinds of mobs, we have patronize flash mobs we have crazy fans, stalkers crowds that just want to be seen with the right people at the right time. All of this took place with out texting or any cell phones. Word of mouth is and always has been a powerful tool
When Jesus returned to the other side of the lake there was a throng, a mob of people waiting for him. The book of Mark and the book of Luke match in this part of the story. In the book of Matthew it states that Jesus was teaching on fasting.
In the middle of this teaching the ruler of the synagogue came to Jesus and said that his daughter was dying and he ask Jesus to come immediately. (Matthew Mark and Luke all three of these books agree on this point.) As soon as Jairus ask Jesus to come to his home to minister to his dying daughter Jesus immediately turned and followed Jairus. Matthew states the disciples also went with him. In the books of Mark and Luke it indicates that the crowds were crushing them as they walked.
From here we pick up this story, in the book of Luke and will add Mark and Matthew as we go along.
