The night before last I was able to spend the evening planning for Adventure v2. V2 will consist of a plane ride to Anchorage, a rented motorcycle and 12 days for riding through the wilds of Alaska. I might even do some fishing as well. Since I will be taking a plane back home, might as well use the extra time wisely right?
Although not the initial adventure I had hoped, I am still excited about the new set of challenges that lay before me. I will be riding with a friend Kevin, who I haven’t done much riding with. He initially invited himself along the trip when I was riding from Texas, he wanted to meet up and ride in Alaska with me. Now the tables have turned, I will be inviting myself on his journey. We did spend some time last night setting expectations, so that’s good. Now we have the foundation of a plan. All good.
All the reservations made, and ready to go. We leave on Saturday evening, for 12ish days of Alaska. The first task will be to make it up the haul road to Coldfoot, then to Prudhoe Bay, then back to Coldfoot. Once done with that, now we will embark on the riding tour through the last great wilderness. Fortunately you can almost always find a Best Western.
Another great thing is, we will be on rented motorcycles. You can always respond, it’s a rental right?
