i love michael english, and this is a beautiful song. i think this was his first time being back to the group in a while after having a problem with drugs I believe. everyone is really emotional. When Bill Gaither invited Michael back, michael said “are you sure they’ll want me back”…Bill assured him.

This is Church, yes, it is! Praise God! To God be all the glory! Now, I know that I want a chance to sing with these folks! It’s been a dream of mine for more than 35 years, so how does a singer audition to sing with the Gaithers? My heart is with these folks, with Bill and Gloria, and with the Good News they bring to a hungry world!

If watching this doesn’t make you cry, I don’t know what will. I just heard it for the first time tonight on a Giather Vocal Band CD, and started looking on you tube for it and found this. I got such a blessing out of watching this.

The devil has used many tactics trying to defeat Michael. Such a talented man, so humble to show his broken hearted state to everyone. So willing to let any and everyone who would Lift him up to God, for him to find the PEACE THAT PASSETH ALL UNDERSTANDING. By God’s grace, WE WILL NEVER LOSE IT!!

This is exactly how the church is supposed to be–loving and forgiving one another, as Jesus loved and forgave all of us.
I agree but also she looked at Michael like a son where he sang with the Happy Goodmans for a while. I have a feeling they were praying together. No matter how many times I watch this video, it always stirs in me. You can tell the holy spirit was in that place that night for sure!
that moment at the end with vestal is a moment i will forever cherish because that is the beauty of the queen of gospel music. that was like saying welcome back michael, we love you.
This is a good reminder that God is the God of the second chance. No matter how bad we think we are, His love and mercy endureth.

Vestal was his praying mother like my mom was never stopped praying for us we love Michael and when our praying mothers leave us we have to be strong for our children and keep praying for them

What DVD is this on? I have several & can’t remember if I have this one. I love to hear Michael this song – the emotion in his voice & face made me cry! So glad he’s back!!!
