HAHA ESCOUDE’S FACE. also, WHO does bireli think he is stochelo has a great ear for the melody, NONNIE is one badass bassist and nous’che prolly has the sturdiest right hand on this planet
GREAT STUFF!! I dont really like lagrene’s wierd stuff but man he’s able to play so damn smooth.. he probably is the most technical guitarist sitting there… I still like stochelo’s melodies better for some reason…I think we all loved the bass and dont forget the human metronome Nous’che Rosenberg.. He hardly ever gets any props.. o yeah the guy with the mustache… he’s there 2
I love this video.
I love how during Stochelo’s solo he quote’s Django’s solo and they all know it front and back and they have some cool little interplay on it for a sec. Great musicians.
@d34dpr3z
lol, the bassist is so used to his fingers flying everywhere at 3:19 is like “hmmm… what would be better for dinner?.. pizza or spaghetti? I prefer sushi”
does anyone know what escouda is playing…it has the look of an es-175 but does not look 16 inches….also it has a p-90 and humbucker….does anyone know if this is some custom he uses
i know that this guys have a LOT of technical skills in their solos, but i have to stay, that what impresses me the most are their amazing chord progressions and changes, man, living in a world with bad 3 cord songs on radio i have to say its very pleasant to see that advanced and serious chord work.
Bireli is not condescending AT ALL towards other players. That’s a lie bound to start a rumor that is nothing but total BS. He’s just an extremely mellow guy. Anyway, I think S. Rosenberg is the best guitar player on the planet right now. I’d say Bireli was in the top ten as well, along with J. Bruno, P. Martino, D. Dykes, J. Williams, etc.
I haven’t heard that but I’ve seen it in video’s before. I’ve never seen him look bored with the Rosenberg’s though. Just players on the level of Escoude.
Grumpy 0:06 Birelli
Sneezy 1:03 Christian
Happy 0:55 1:54 3:23 Stochelo
Sleepy 2:13 Nonnie
Bashful 4:58 Nous’che (on the the back)
Having fun is at the core of playing jazz, and these guys embody that.
@xemosintightsx lol ill beat that bireli with my “i just ate a lemon” face

Rockin! (I love BL’s weird stuff!)

Man, their styles are so incredibly diverse, yet they blend so well. This is seriously blowing my mind into space chunklets right now.
welcome to the world of jazz!
WoW! Incredible. Not to forget the bass player doing a fantastic job
wooooooooooow
Stochello killed this… a legend!!!
Stochee’s guitar has a really strange sound at this concert.

C’est absolument merveilleux avec des musiciens sublimes.
Merci de garder intact cette tradition du jazz manouche pour notre plus grand bonheur.
