First, I have to say that I’m really pleased with the new chat system. I’d been away from ccnet for over a year now, and see alot of positive changes.
But one shocker was that ccnet had left irc! I am going to miss not using mirc or even my fun old Pirch98 with chat.

But I am just really curious why it happened. Was CCnet receiving alot of harrassment or attacks from other irc people?
Just curious as to what brought it about.
But I can see where this new chat is much easier to use for people, probably alot more secure too.
