What’s in my bag?

What's in my bag?

Everyday Minimalist asked me to share “What’s in my wallet” for a cool series she’s doing each Tuesday on her blog (my article posted last week).

While I’ve drastically cut down on what I carry in my pockets, I thought I’d go a step further and share “What’s in my bag.”

While it’s true that the majority of the time, I only carry around my phone, a money clip/wallet and my keys, I’ll typically have a Kensington Contour Backpack and my lunch pail with me most weekdays as I commute back and forth to the office.

The contents vary slightly from week to week but typically I carry…

As far as software and apps on my computer I typically use…

Adobe Creative Suite CS3 – Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver are the most used apps here
Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 Suite – for video editing
Skype
Call Graph – for recording Skype calls
Audacity – for audio/podcast editing
Filezilla – for FTP
7-Zip – for compressing and uncompressing files
Tweetdeck – for keeping up with Twitter
Chrome – for 99% of my web browsing
Firefox and IE – for testing and debugging

And on my iPhone…

Twittelator Pro – for keeping up with Twitter
HeyTell – Uber-Sweet instant voice messaging (uses your data package)
Camera+ – a great photo app for taking and editing photos
iCamcorder – allows me to shoot video on my iPhone 3G
The Google Suite (including Google Books, Earth, Maps, Buzz, etc)
Yammer – a “private Twitter” I use to help keep in touch with my something beautiful cohorts
Skype – make Skype (VOIP) calls right from your phone over WiFi or 3G
Kindle – read Kindle books right on your phone
YouVersion – 41 different versions of the Bible on your iPhone
Instapaper – allows easy/quick reading of articles I’ve saved on my iPhone or computer for reading later
Netflix – movie/TV streaming right to your phone
Flickr – upload/edit/view my Flickr photos
Springpad – notes in the cloud
Key Ring – tracks all my (annoying) grocery store discount cards
Official Facebook app – for keeping up with Facebook
Games:
Words With Friends – Scrabble like game. Having a lot of fun playing with my 10-year-old nephew as of late.
Angry Birds – Addictive game. Avoid if you treasure your time at all.
Solitaire

So there’s my list.
